This guide is about the part a buyer actually controls: receiving, storing and handling product correctly so it stays sound. It does not cover reconstitution, dosing or administration — those are clinical steps set out in each manufacturer’s prescribing information and carried out by the practitioner. Here we stick to temperature, shelf life, and what to check when a shipment lands.
The two temperature rules
Toxins and fillers are stored differently, and mixing them up ruins product:
- Botulinum toxins (Botulax, Nabota, Innotox) — refrigerated at 2–8°C, kept within that range from storage through transit.
- HA fillers (Revolax, Elasty) — controlled room temperature, 15–25°C, protected from light and, importantly, from freezing.
Always defer to the specific manufacturer’s guidance on the box and prescribing information — these are the general ranges, not a substitute for the label.
What to check on arrival
When a shipment lands, before anything goes into storage:
- Temperature integrity — confirm toxins arrived cold and fillers weren’t frozen or heat-exposed.
- Lot and expiry — match them against the documentation you were given for the order.
- Packaging — intact seals and boxes, no damage or tampering.
- Quantity and product — the right items, grades and counts.
If anything is off, document it and raise it before the product is used or stored.
Shelf life and rotation
Buy to your real usage and rotate stock first-in-first-out so nothing drifts toward expiry unused. The expiry on the vial or syringe is the hard limit; the documentation you received should match it. If you restock on a regular cadence, ordering in step with your turnover keeps everything fresh and avoids dead stock.
Before you order
Correct storage only matters if the product was genuine and well-handled to begin with. Pair this with how to spot fakes and the full buying guide. We ship toxins cold-chain and fillers at controlled temperature, with documentation for your stock.
